The 5th month of pregnancy

1. The following tests are required as follows:

- complete blood count,

- biochemistry: cholesterol, total bilirubin, urine summary, and urine culture.

2. You can participate with your partner at the childcare courses. So you will better know about the items you need in the first few days of your baby's life. You will know how to correctly place your baby's nappy, how to make your baby's bath.

Items required for your baby:

- newborn' diapers or 0/1 measure,

- milk bottles,

- baby wipes,

- coats for 0-3 months (body blouse, pants, socks, gloves, outfit),

- ointment against irritation,

- baby shampoo,

- bath towel,

- powder against rashes,

- baby laundry detergent,

- blanket,

- alcohol for navel,

- sterile compresses,

- powdered milk,

- the milking pump,

- physiological saline,

- nasal secretion pump,

- room thermometer,

- nail scissors,

- body oil,

- hairbrush,

- lamp,

- baby scale,

- bathtub with anatomical shape,

- bed,

- trolley,

- baby digital thermometer,

- pacifiers.

Other things necessary for your baby:

- auto chair,

- thermos,

- clips for the pacifier,

- anti-regurgitation bottles,

- simple pacifiers, not with geometric shapes, without patterns to not disturb the baby when it is asleep and to not obstruct the child's nose,

- baby carrier.

3. Pregnancy ultrasound, 2nd trimester
In this pregnancy trimester, the doctor will perform the ultrasound for your second trimester of pregnancy (fetal morphology, in the 20-24 weeks).

You can view the following:

- the fetus and the position in which it is placed: in the cranial/transverse presentation, etc.

- the nuchal fold

- Median gestational age - in terms of ultrasound and in-clinic terms

- Fetal weight.

All required fetal measurements, belly, heart function, upper and lower limbs, will be performed.

4. Symptoms of pregnancy:

    • Stomach problems (hyperacidity),

    • somnolence,

    • nausea.

5. Notifications
Some newborn babies have red skin with sores or have skin wrinkled from the amniotic fluid. Some have a lot of hair, and others can look like a person in the family.
The fetal sleep rhythm may be different/independent of your rhythm.

6. Pieces of Advice
Do not go before this ultrasound (fetal morphology, in the 20-24 weeks) without eating!
It is possible for the fetus to hide in the placenta or not to move, and the doctor will not be able to carry out all the measurements (for example, the nasal bone). The doctor will send you outside for eating something and return later to the control or worse for you, to come back another time.

Also, in the sixth month of pregnancy, the symptoms of pregnancy are various.
