The first month of pregnancy

1. You can experience the feeling that you do not wish to share the news of pregnancy immediately:

- until you receive the result of the blood test, to be 100% sure you're pregnant,

- for like others not to behave differently with you after hearing about your pregnancy,

- until you exceed the 3-month pregnancy threshold, a critical threshold for many spontaneous abortions.

2. Symptoms in early pregnancy:

• the feeling of warmth,

• redness cheeks,

• tiredness,

• heavy and swollen legs,

• symptoms similar to pre-menstrual syndrome, only as instead of feeling the sensation of cold, you will feel the heat.

3. The usual tests for the first month of pregnancy will be the following:

- Blood test (the analysis is called HCG + beta, which means Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) with a repeat at 48 hours.

- During the gynecological consultation, microbiology analyzes will be collected. Examination of bacteria: vaginal, urethral, cervical secretions, and Chlamydia trachomatis, and Mycoplasma / Ureaplasma assays.

4. At the intrauterine ultrasound exam, you can view:

- gestational bag with vesicle,

- thickened endometrium,

- in early pregnancy, it is possible that the embryo is not yet visualized.

Then, at the next ultrasound, the blastocyst will be visualized, and then the embryo will form.

5. Some issues that predict a cesarean (the doctor decides!):

• Placenta praevia (placenta placed in front of the fetus),

• Placenta accreta (placenta rooted deep into the uterus),

• Myopia very high (in the case of natural birth, the retina can detach),

• Uterine rupture imminence,

• Identification of group B beta-hemolytic streptococcus.

6. It must be known!

Pregnancy is always calculated from the first day of the last menstrual cycle (most women do not know when fecundation occurred). So pregnancy will last for 40 weeks (including the first two weeks after the previous menstrual cycle, even if you were not pregnant).
Quarter I of pregnancy will include weeks 1-13, the second trimester will consist of weeks 14-27, and the third trimester will comprise of weeks 28-40.

7. Pieces of Advice
Do not take hot baths (prolonged exposure to a high temperature leads to neural tube defects in the fetus)!

8. Generally, during pregnancy, the doctor's treatments are as follows (only if the doctor prescribe to you these medicines with medical recipe):

- vitamins for pregnant women,

- magnesium,

- vitamin B6,

- progesterone pills,

- anticoagulation pills,

- stomach pain pills,

- medicines to prevent infections.
